Ay l'amor! is a complex sequence of voices, songs from Italian's south rich musical tradition and original polyphonic pieces composed on the theme of love.

Six characters sing and talk about love. They are guardian angels who introduce the songs through episodes and considerations that will slide in front of the spectators' eyes like still life portraits of the album of their life.

Actors descend and climb ladders, rising above the spectators. They wear double-faced masks that resemble, on one side, inanimate dolls, in their grotesque stillness.
Multiplied faces and expressions give birth to surprising perspectives, just like in real life, characters may have two or more aspects, emotions, meanings: joy and sorrow, conquering/gaining and surrendering, hope and disillusion, life and death.
Background tableau vivant are created during the songs, choreographic actions and sketches join and divide characters alternating comedy with intense poetic moments.
Simple actions and short texts translated into English help the public to understand, imagine, recognise and perhaps relate, with their personal emotions or story.
Sometimes real life appears, made of love and other passions (political strive?), but it's immediately transfigured by the actors in love metaphors for a man or a woman.
This show can be presented in two different versions, depending on the available place for the performance.
It can be done outdoor in a protected acoustic environment, with the public seated in a frontal manner; this version consents a detailed and complex dramaturgy.

AY L'AMOR! itinerant version:

It can be done outdoor in itinerary version: the show will unravel by covering small distances with standing spectators, "finding" ladders on wheels among the way, using the town's own charm and architecture like windows, short walls, stairs, fountains, trees.
